Sometime between the dates of August 27-29, 2007 a residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of Oak Street in the City of Laurel. The suspect(s) entered into an attached garage of this residence at stole a white and red Yamaha 50 cc Motocross style dirt bike. If anyone has any information regarding this theft of any other criminal offense they are encouraged to contact the Laurel Police Department at 256-3211. All identities will be kept confidential.
There has recently been several complaints of trespassing on the airport property located on the east side of the City of Laurel. This is a controlled area and only authorized personnel are allowed on this property. Tampering, damaging or interfering with any navigational aids located at the airport is a federal offense with significant fines and/or prison sentences for any conviction of such activity. This area is actively patrolled by this Department and all violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Your cooperation in keeping the airport facility secure is greatly appreciated.

Mike Young has taken over as the Chief of Police for the Laurel Police Department. He has over 20 years of experience. He is a retired California Police Officer.
