HISTORY

Chief Young served shortly in 2007.  He is a veteran law enforcement officer, serving over 30 years.  He is a retired Police Officer from the State of California, where he served with several law enforcement agencies.  He began his career in Nebraska as a Probation Officer in western Nebraska.  He then served for three years as the Chief of Police in Wauneta, Nebraska, then served two years in Dundy and Perkins County Sheriff's Departments.

Chief Young attended the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in 2003.  He has also graduated from the Nebraska Supervisor's course.  Additionally, Young is a certified accident reconstructionist, firearms and patrol shotgun instructor.
